Traveling during the winter can be difficult, especially in the U.P. This is why our first quarterly event this year will be virtual. Please join us on Zoom on the morning of Wednesday, February 8th, 2023 for our presentation on 'The ABC's of Compensation for HR Professionals."
We will explore the basics of compensation management as an element of Total Rewards in support of company objectives, as well as specifics related to managing compensation for hourly, professionals/mid-management, and executives.
We will cover
- compensation philosophies,
- how to evaluate/compare jobs to design fair and equitable pay structures,
- how to conduct market analysis,
- how to manage compensation changes such as merits and lateral development, and
- how to incorporate compensation in talent attraction/development/retention activities.
We will cover typical compensation practices in manufacturing, the services industry, retail/hospitality, and the medical/health care industry which are primary industries in the UP.
